Financial Officer:
I am a Finance Officer and am responsible for maintaining the finance and accounting system for A Glimmer of Hope – Addis Office. I maintain the General Ledger and all supporting schedules for our operations and for the implementation of our projects in the country.
I am from Ethiopia. I was born in rural Ethiopia in the western part of the country (Oromia Region). I have a first degree in accounting. I have worked in the field of finance for the past 20 years. Over the past these years, I have accumulated extensive finance experience in Governmental organizations, NGOs and private companies. Before I joined the Glimmer family, I was working in Jimma city for a large Governmental organization, namely Ethiopian Roads Authority Jimma District, as a Team Leader and Head of Finance Department.
I am married and the father of 3 children. I have a happy family and we have a good time together. We like songs and we sing together when we have time.
I am working in finance section to do all things in time to fulfill the Glimmer mission to help the people of Ethiopia. As a professional man (accountant) I am here to ensure the proper control and utilization of the scarce recourses and to realize that each single coin used for the intended purpose and reached the Ethiopian people.
